The Hinton Golf Club is preparing for the upcoming 2010 season and has some great employment opportunities. We are presently accepting applications for the following departments:   Maintenance Department - Laborers and Equipment Operators §         Duties range from operation of mowing equipment to a wide variety of daily course upkeep tasks. §         All positions in this department entail 35-40 hrs/week, working weekends, physical labor and early morning starts. §         Terms range from 2 to 6 months depending on start dates with wages ranging from $9-$13/hr depending on experience. §         Ideal for Post Secondary students, retirees, high school students and people who just like working outside.   Pro Shop Department (Front Shop, Range and Backshop / Cart staff) §         Front Shop Staff o        Duties entail front line customer service and supervision. You are the one behind the counter taking the tee times, processing daily transactions, supervising backshop staff, maintaining facility cleanliness, merchandising products and generally acting as a first line ambassador for our club. o        FT / PT positions (25-40 hrs/week) available and all positions entail working weekends, various shift / start times, a dress code and strong people skills. o        Terms range from 4-6 months depending on start date with wages ranging from $10-$13/hr depending on experience.  o        Ideal for Post Secondary students, retirees or someone who simply likes retail and dealing with people.  §         Backshop / Cart Staff o        Duties entail maintaining range, pro shop area and cart fleet in high standards of presentation, cleanliness and organization. Duties involve operating of golf carts as well as range picker and also entail physical labor. o        All positions in this area are PT and entail 12-15 hrs/week, working weekends, various shift / start times, dress code and wages ranging from $9-$10/hr depending on experience. o        This position is ideal for youth (12-16) with a willingness to work, be a team player, and have the support of his/her parents.      Food & Beverage §         Cooks o  Duties include preparing of food orders, meals for catered events, maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and work area, inventory monitoring and some customer interaction as well as transactions. o        These are FT positions with 40-44 hours/week and wages ranging from $12-$15 / hour depending on experience. §         Beverage Cart / Kitchen Help   o        Duties include combination of beverage cart operation as well as kitchen assistant. Customer service, FB facility cleanliness (dining area, kitchen, deck, washrooms etc.), inventory stocking, assisting with catered events. o        Both FT and PT positions available with hours ranging from 16-40 hours/week and wages ranging from $9 to $11 / hour depending on daily job (kitchen help is paid premium compared to beverage cart) .Position involves operating of beverage cart as well as physical labor. Ideal candidate will have good people skills, good work ethic, be willing to work flexible schedule and weekends. o        All FB staff must be willing to work weekends, flexible shifts, adhere to dress code (uniforms provided) and be a team player.   Staff privileges for all departments include golf, discounts, and clothing.
